Time period - Qing Dynasty
Birthplace  -Zhaoan County, Fujian

When Bi Liang was young, he went to Pinghe Lingtongyuan to study medicine and get clinical experience. After his studies he returned to his hometown and establish a practice in the east of his town. His excellent medical skills and medical ethics were highly respected by the people. He loved to help the poor and did not fear the rich and powerful. A rich man once asked Bo Liang for consultation, while at the same time a poor man also asked him to give emergency treatment to his critically ill child. Ignoring the invitation of the rich man in favor of the critically ill child, Bo Liang hurried to the poor's house to treat and save the child. The rich man was very angry when he heard this, and the next day he held his cane and stood on the road, hitting and insulting Bo Liang when he came back. Affected by this humiliation, Bo Liang could hardly tolerate it, so he sold his house and moved to Shantou, Guangdong and later to Singapore . At that time, Western medicine started to spread eastward, and many people in the society admired this new way of treatment and despised TCM.  In order to carry forward the precious medical heritage of the great motherland, Bo Liang edited and published the "Chinese Ancient Holy Medical Classics" series, which included "Volume of the Yellow Emperor's Internal Classics", "Volume of the Yellow Emperor's Internal Classics" 9 volumes, "Han Zhang Zhongjing Typhoid Miscellaneous Diseases" "Fang Jie" 15 volumes, "Shen Nong Materia Medica original drug enhancement" 1 volume, "Shi Fang Yao Jie" 4 volumes.

Later, he edited the principles of law, prescription, and medicine, discussed the mechanism of internal medicine diseases, absorbed prescriptions from time to time, and finally published in 1923 a 10 volume addendum to the 1713 edition of the "Disease Pathology", which was published by Chung Hwa Book Co in Singapore, and thus enjoyed great reputation inside and outside. Tian Bo Liang has been in medicine for nearly 50 years. His achievements was included in the "Biographical Dictionary of Chinese Medicine” published by the Institute of Medical History and Literature of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1988.
The year indicated on his tomb - 1924  means that he may have passed away shortly after publishing his book
