Mr Hoe Beng Whatt, aged 54, passed away at his residence No 140, Rangoon Road, on Saturday May 4, 199 at 11 pm
He leaves a widow, Chan Guek Neo, one son, Hoe Keng Hock, one daughter Hoe Hock Neo, with one adopted son, Hoe (Lee Yam Chong) and two sons in law Chan Kim Seng and Wee Song Kay to mourn his loss. Funeral will take place on Wednesday, May 8, 1929 at 10 am to Bukit Brown Cemetery.

Hoe Beng Whatt was working at Messrs Paterson, Simons and Co when Mrs Hoe Hoon Seng passed away at the age of 64 years at her son's residence l 140 Rangoon Road, on Apr 29 1917.. She left 3 sons, 1 daughter and several grandchildren to mourn her loss. The funeral will leave 140, Rangoon Road, at 10 am on Thursday the 3rd inst for the 4th mile, Bukit Timah Road Chinese Cemetery
