Translation 譯文

Tomb of the late father, bearing the name Tan Geok Lock, of the Tan-Wee family, and late mother, bearing the posthumous name Nuan Neo, of the Oon family married into the Tan-Wee lineage, auspicious resting place. Born in the 11th year of Xianfeng, the Xinyou year, on the 24th day of the 10th month, at an auspicious hour (1861). Died in the 15th year of the Republic of China, Bingyin year, on the 3rd day of the 5th month, at the xu hour (1926). Born in the 13th year of Tongzhi, the Jiaxu year, on the 14th day of the 8th month, at the mao hour (1874). Died in the 29th year of the Republic of China, Gengchen year, on the 21st day of the 3rd month (1940). Sons: Tan Yew Aik, Tan Yew Lye, Tan Yew Seng Daughter: Tan Tuan Neo Grandsons: Tan Poon Soh, Tan Chong Beng Granddaughter: Tan Guek Neo

Biography  生平

Tan Geok Lock (1861–1926) and his wife Oon Guan Neo (1874–1940) were buried together. He bore the double surname 陳黃 (Tan-Wee), indicating dual family lineage. They had three sons — Tan Yew Aik, Tan Yew Lye, and Tan Yew Seng — one daughter Tan Tuan Neo, and three grandchildren.
