SUICIDE VERDICT

A verdict of suicide was returned regarding the death of Chia Seng Quee, the Straits-born Chinese man who fell from the roof of the Bank of China building on the morning of Nov 24.

The deceased, who was a family man, had been employed by the Great Eastern Life Insurance Company for a number of years.

In her evidence, the widow said that he had been ill with malaria a few days before the tragedy. He had no financial worries of which she was aware
