Just before Lee Chim Hay passed away, on 21 Aug 2602, he issued a notice on the Syonan Shimbun that his wife Chua Kim Neo alias Monek left of her own accord the house and protection of her husband Lee Chim Hay, and will not be hence responsible for her acts and debts.
