Obituary notice only list one son Edward, but his tomb list Jin Tee besides Edward. When his wife died, two sons were mentioned. Jin Tee was listed as a son in his brother Chow Teck's obituary notice

CHUA - On Saturday, July 25, 1925 (5th day of 6th Moon Chinese Republic 14th year) at 5 am at No 497 Kampong Bahru Raod, Chua Low Cheak, aged 71, beloved father of Chua Keh Hai and Chua Chow Teck, besides whom he leaves to mourn his loss four daughters, a son-in-law and seven grandchildren. The funeral will take place on Sunday 2 August 1925 the cortege leaving for Sang-Kow-Tian Alexandra Road at 10 am
