The death is announced as occurring yesterday of
Tan Quee Lan, father of Tan Chew Kim, one of the members of the
Cornonation Contingent. The deceased was a leading man of the Straits Chinese community
but owing to advanced age led a life of retirment lately. Quee Lan St off Beach Rd was
named after him
