Khoo Cheng Tit and Madam Lee
邱正直 李慈淑
Khoo Cheng Tit (邱正直) and his wife Madam Lee (李慈淑) were subjects of the Imperial Qing dynasty, with ancestral roots in Sin Kang (Xin An), Haicang District, Xiamen, Fujian, China — the ancestral village of many Hokkien Khoo clan members. Their tomb was erected in 1842, though their exact dates of death are unknown. They had four sons with two different generation names (禎 and睛), suggesting possible descent from two wives, and at least five daughters. Their son Khoo Cheng Chan was an active community donor in Singapore, contributing to Fuk Tak Chi Temple (1854), Chui Ying School (1861), and Siang Cho Keong Temple (1868), while a namesake Khoo Cheng Siang donated to Penang's Wen San Teng in 1816, suggesting possible Penang origins.
